Founding Institutions & National Directors

Case Western Reserve University School of Law and Western Law are CUSLI's Founding Institutions.

The deans of each law faculty serve as the co-Presidents of CUSLI. Case Western Reserve University School of Law Interim Dean Robert Rawson and University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law Dean Ian Holloway presently serve as co-Presidents.

Each dean has appointed a full-time member of its faculty to serve as the National Director of CUSLI. Case Western Reserve University School of Law Professor Jon Groetzinger presently serves as the U.S. Director, and University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law Professor Chios Carmody presently serves as the Canadian Director.

The National Directors promote the development of Canada-U.S. based curricula and research opportunities at each law faculty; foster students and faculty exchange programs; serve as faculty advisors to the Canada-United States Law Journal and the Canada-United States Law Institute Student Committee; and serve as members of the Canada-United States Law Institute Executive Committee.
